Composition of Committee

The Committee for the Protection Of People with Intellectual Disabilities consists of ten members appointed by the Minister of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance for a period of 4 years. The committee is made up of 5 members selected from the Pancyprian Association of Parents of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, who are known as private members, and 5 members from the Civil Service, the state members. The state members are representatives from the ministries of Labour, Welfare and Social Insurance, Education and Culture, Health, and Finance. The President of the Committee for the Protection of People with Intellectual Disabilities is always a state member.
